It's always a different story, so it'd be nice to hear about how everyone first came in contact with them!

Mine is actually pretty boring, however. Years ago, when Elysion was first released, this artist had the song "El no Rakuen [side:E]" playing on her site, and I fell in love with it. I'd leave the window open for hours just to listen to it. After a long time, I finally managed to track it down (on her site, the title was in Korean, so it made things difficult) and then I went looking for more of Sound Horizon's music, and here I am.

By the way, it's really worth checking out her site. She has some incredible Sound Horizon fanart in the 2007 section, though sadly, the picture files are kind of tiny.

I was a crazy Atelier Iris fan back in the day and a Haruka Shimotsuki fan. When I heard schwarzweiss for the game's trailer, I was like awesome! And the words Revo and Sound Horizon did catch me, interesting sounding names! since they were credited.

Hence thats how the words Revo and Sound Horizon entered my brain. Later on my friend showed me a Miezaru Ude PV and Fuefuki Otoko to Parade Live, I was like wow these guys are nuts! And awesome! And later I got my hands on Roman and that entered my playlist. Mostly listened to a few select songs without paying too much attention to the rest.... I wasn't much of a fan then. I just kinda listened to them.

One day I was playing some typemania and found a Sound Horizon song, Ishidatami no Akeki Akuma, and was like hey they did more stuff! Then later I managed to get my hands on the two Elysion albums, and was like wow this is different. And looked deeper into things, watched their lives on youtube and then started the infection. Through the process of all that, I managed to get Seisen no Iberia under my grasp and then backtracked into their doujin age and also added Shounen wa Tsurugi wo to my playlist. From Roman Live to Triumph and then back to Elysion and then Moira, I became a crazy fan and managed to spread my fandom to two of my friends, one of which is a Kame-chan fan.

And that is how I found my way through the gates of the Sound Horizon kingdom. And sometime later, I scoured pixiv and danbooru for Sound Horizon fanarts and the like. Although I lost a lot of them due to ext HDD failure(okay I dropped it, my fault D:).

Hmm there's a possibility that I know her..;)

Well, at first I had heard of the name 'Sound Horizon' from somewhere I don't recall, and thought that it was a title of a book. I still remember madly searching the school library XD
Then, about 5 months later, a friend of mine told me, "Come over to my blog and there's a post there. It has some Japanese music in it, and you'll probably enjoy it." By that time I had already forgotten the name 'Sound Horizon', but anyways, I listened to it. 'Ark' was on the top, so I listened to it first, but it was the lyrics of 'Baroque' that really pulled me in SH.

First song I downloaded was 'Asa to Yoru no Roman [Another mix.]', though. ROFL how in the world did I enjoy the Another mix version?

All thanks to COOL JOKE and Oshima Michiru who had pulled me into Japanese music in the first place XD

+Some weeks ago I realized there was a book titled 'Over the Horizon'.
I had mixed up the thing with 'Sound Horizon' a long time ago XDD

I first heard about Sound Horizon when I was browsing through a list of all of the artists signed onto King Records during the summer of last year. Given that the company features many respectable artists, I figured I might as well give them a try too. So I watched the 石畳の緋き悪魔 PV and was instantly hooked. I then proceeded to give Roman a listen followed by Elysion, then Moira. Normally I get tired of listening to artists after hearing them for a while but Sound Horizon is the only band that I have been listening to for over a year and still listen to on a regular basis. The fact that their content, genre and lineup have changed quite a bit over the years probably contributes to that.

I found Sanhora one year ago, searching for yuki Kajiura videos, I found the video of dream port. I didn't pay much attention to sound horizon. Later, i search videos of Oda kaori and I found sound horizon again, miezaru ude and hiro no fusha, I fall in love and I get all albums, Now I really love the band, more than fictionjunction XD

Ok then... I found SanHora while I was looking for images in a "cute images search site"
I came across with Hortense and Violette and with El and I liked a lot of the style... Searched, and discover that Sound Horizon was a band \o/ I remember thinking how cool was for a band to have characters >.<

Downloaded everything and listened to Elysion's ABYSS for a week XD... I went to Roman and then Moira came and that's it \o/

Mine's actually kind of normal, too. A friend told me he was looking for Sound Horizon fanart one day, and sent me the PV of "Thanatos". The style was interesting and new, and the song was pretty good, but it wasn't until he linked me to the live performances of "Seisen no Iberia" that I got hooked. I think it was Heika's growl during, "Layla, kimi ga AIsu mono subete...", haha!

My love for Sound Horizon snowballed since then~

I found them by accident when I was looking for a Kaori Oda song, and stumbled upon the PV of Miezaru Ude. The whole theatrical feel of it made me interested in the band, so I found Roman and listened to it, and after that came Seisen no Iberia, then Moira. Then I went backwards and started listening to their old stuff, from Endia and the Knights, to Elysion, to Chronicle 2nd, to Lost, all the way back to the first Chronicle CD. ^_____^ Now Sound Horizon music dominates most of my playlist.

I had been searching some information about RIKKI on the internet during a long time, and one day I came across the song "Henkyou kara no Seikansha" which is sung by RIKKI in Leviathan. After a while, I also found Honoo from Roman, and then I just fell in love...
