@Haikara: should i be doing a design for the cover then or not? I thought of a cool idea: we could draw something on the front flap, and then on the inside of that flap paste a map?

So it would be more like a book, not a bunch of loose pages. The folder would work as a cover, and it could be painted or covered (there are also folders that allow changeable covers under a plastic sleeve).
In my mind I'd imagine the whole thing be more cool and be like a book of Hiver's journey, or something like that, but avoiding taking the DVD designs in Roman or Märchen. But I'm thinking more about that direction. Drawings, messages and such, I think they go more to the inside of this folder.

Don't worry, i wasn't going to take a cover design. But if you want me to make it look like a book, shall i write "Le voyage d' Hiver" (Hiver's journey) on the cover, or something like that?
I'll tell you what i'm thinking then- I could take a big piece of paper and do the coffe-stain-old-look to make it look kind of like a leather cover and put it around the folder, i'd make the side look like a binding and then on the front I'd write "Le voyage d'Hiver" on the front, and draw a picture of him in ink (so it would sort of look engraved?)
Does that sound good?

"Le voyage d' Hiver" sounds cute! But we need to keep in mind that information on by who and why are somewhere as well. By this I mean the makers, and for what occasion. They don't necesserily need to be on the cover though.

For the map, you know all those Indiana Jones movies, or children shows where they show how the travel goes with that - - - - kind of line? That's about the only thing I can think of, so possibly other ideas could be necessary. I'd say drawing it would be the best, so we can leave details out that we don't need (I think we only need to show the cities where pictures have been taken and maybe where messages have come from? ..Unless it makes it too messy.)

@Yoru: Humm... I'm not really sure how to go about it.. Though once the doll leaves me, I don't think it needs to come back to me (since I don't need to take any pictures of Hiver myself, as said~).. But that's all I can say, I guess...

Oh my, that plan-thing on the folder sounds amazing~! "Le voyage d'Hiver", huh? I rather like the sound of that. That's my opinion anyway~

@Haikara: errrr i'll try.... i mean, i can easily show you a rough draft of what my idea is for the cover, but for the binding.... that's kind of hard, since it's one of those things that "either you make it, or you don't" and i don't really know how i would do a rough draft or something, but i'll try!

The map with the dotted line sounds great, but drawing it sounds like a bit much? It's easy to buy a map with no words on it (you know, like the kind you use in grade school) and just write and draw on it....

Oh-kay, good news everyone! I got the doll fixed (despite the fact that sore throat, terrible coughing and a runny nose have been trying to kill me .__. ), and he's more or less ready to go~!

And when I read about that X as the destination and then X's in every place the doll goes, I got a mental image of smaller X's on the places it stops and a bigger X (with a crown on top on my mental image, but that's a bit too much, I think) on the destination.
